Ben Reifel Visitor Center

The Ben Reifel Visitor Center can be found at the Badlands National Park headquarters. Reopened in 2006, the Visitor Center offers a variety of educational features to park visitors including:

An air conditioned theater with seating for up to 95 people showcasing educational films, including the new film, Land of Stone and Light.

Filled with books, posters, videos, postcards and other materials filled with tourist information about the Badlands National Park, the bookstore is operated by the Badlands National History Association.

Interactive exhibits and displays offer visitors a look at the cultural history, ecology and paleontology of the Badlands. Among these displays are fossilized animal casts, a visitor favorite.

Take advantage of the Ben Reifel classroom, newly improved and ideal for large groups. The Visitor Center also has clean public restrooms.
