Minuteman Missile National Historic Museum

Located just minutes from Wall Drug is the Minuteman Missile National Historic site.  This chilling remnant of the past serves as a reminder and educational tool recalling the Cold War.

Minuteman Missile National Historic Site's purpose is to tell the story of Minuteman Missiles, nuclear avoidance and the Cold War. Delta-01 and Delta-09 are striking examples of the alert status of United States nuclear forces during this time period. These sites, along with the new Minuteman Missile Visitor Center, contain exhibits that help visitors understand the story of one of the most important eras in both American and World History.

The Minuteman Missile National Historic Site consists of two detached facilities:

Launch Control Facility

Delta-01

Off Exit 127

Launch Facility

Delta-09

Off Exit 116

See a decomissioned Minute Man Missile before or after you visit wall Drug.
